Advice please

After budgeting for my latest upgrade i failed to take my psu into consideration (was going to use existing 450 watt jeantech).
I was hoping to get a 8800gt but looking through some of the threads on here i'm unsure if the psu will be adequate.
As an alternative would the 3870xt be a good choice ( i game at 1440 x 900)or would this require as much power as the 8800gt.
looking to spend £160-£170 max.

if you're playing worms then it is deffo overkill
crysis on the other hand would be a gt killer on any res.
i would have thought 450 was ample for that as long as it has the
correct pci-e adapter plug for g cards.

LOL Worms (that takes me back )
Crysis,COD 4,Bioshock was what i had in mind.
So you reckon my psu ( pci-e adapter it does have )is ample for a 8800gt
