Guys my 5850 seems to be struggling for some reason. Its not performing that much better than my 4870 did. Not good.

So i think i need to wipe the drivers and reload. Ive simply uninstalled them via windows, downloaded and then reinstalled but its not made that much difference.

Im getting slow down in COD for gods sake. A noticable slowdown at that.

Its fustrating. Can someone advise me of a programme to use to wipe the drivers and start afresh?

thanks

What clock speed is your E6600 at? It needs to be overclock to close to 4.0GHz side to fully use (or close to) what 5850 has to offer.

But still, it shouldn't be worse than 4870.

4.0Ghz on air? nah not possile. Clocked at 3.0 at the mo matey
I don't mean overclock it to 4.0GHz (I know it's almost impossible on the E6600 on air)...I meant overclock it toward to as close to 4.0GHz as possible (i.e. the highest clock you can get to).

You simply won't be getting the most out of the 5850 at 3.0GHz. No chance of you overclock beyond 3.0GHz at all? I'm certain that any higher clock you get will give you boost in frame rate (putting if there are other problems aside).
