got me self one of these XSPC RayStorm D5 RX360 V3 kits
on the d5 Vario pump thier is an blue wire techometer wire and the other wire goes on an molex they say place the blue wire on the motherboard fan header. is this ok on the cpu fan header ?

at the moment am only cooling the cpu and at a later stage i shall do the gpu
on the back of the pump their is selector for the pump speed i got it on no: 2 is that ok for just the cpu noise and temps are ok idle around 28-30 load am running around 55-60 @ 4.6 oc
thx

The the blue wired fan header only transmits the rpm of the pump ,its fine to put on the fan header. To actually power the pump you have to use the molex cable

Speed 2 is fine, your temps seem pretty good, could increase it if you wanted but i see no reason for you too

thx i wasn't to sure about placing the blue wire on the cpu fan header or not but i did it. and yes the pump is on molex

wasn't sure if i turn the speed on 3 would inprove the temps in any way. am total new to this custom loop larky but am glad i made the move the system looks better and the noise is much better

I dont think the pump speed makes any difference on temps
