I read it as the board has a 24 pin and the psu has a 20. Yeah, I skipped that part. It will be a block of 4 empty pins left empty on one end of the MOBO socket. If you were to plug it in without a 20 to 24 pin adaptor there should not be 2 pins left blank at each end but 4 at one end. It will only fit one way.
