hi guys. has been a while since i looked into laptops. the last one i bought was a dell m1530 with 2.4ghz processor, 2gb ram, 8600gt and 1440x900 screen. have sold it on because i never quite felt 100% with it. so, with the proceeds and some extra, im after a new laptop.
there are a few criteria the laptop has to meet.

-portable, nothing bulky
-aesthetically pleasing
-an impressive battery life to add to the portability
-a decent gfx card would be abonus but is not essential. the first 3 points are more important

ive got around £1000 to spend, maybe £1200 if i were really convinced by the laptop.

can anyone pass on any suggestions for a lappy that would meet all the above specs. I have no idea where to start. At the mo, im looking to get a mac pro but am after other ideas

thanks guys
;)

I'd look for someting 13-14", OCUK doesn't seem to have them so other webistes are worth a look (Search in Google for "X30 MV 13.3") but make sure you get a Pxxxx series processor, those are the 25W ones

yeah mate, just had a look at the cw, very reasonably priced but cant find any decent info on it, reviews or videos or anything. I just cant pull myself away from the idea of a mac

Yeah I know how you feel I had the same dilemma when getting mine just now.. but I decided against a mac as there were so many higher spec laptops that were much cheaper! If money's not an object Id go with a little macbook pro.. Yeah I tried to find some decent info on the cw and couldnt ended up just looking at the specs and comparing like that.. also nipped into pc world to have a play.. It's nice to use, decent screen, nice design, light etc only downer for me was the speakers which are quite quiet..

went into the sony centre today and saw the top spec fw seres. very very nice spec but still cant get away from the idea of a mac. think deep down down thats what i really want. was hoping there would be some suggestions out there for a cheaper alternative though that met the above criteria
