So atm i am using an underclocked hd 7770 which is fine for browsing and stuff like that ,on games sooner or later my pc restarts.(had some problems, like bright cyan screen and stuff like that which fixed by themselves like 8 motnhs ago but now they came back).
Now,i wanna get a new GPU,i havent played anything for over a month so far,a nd i dont know what to do,get one now or wait like 6 months for Pascal.
Budget is something like 250 pounds for now but if i wait till new stuff i will bump it up.
My CPU is i5 650 3.2 GHZ and monitor native resolution is 1440x960,i plan to change both in the future.I heard that for CPU its good to wait till october due to new CPU's and for monitor i am most likely going for some 1080p if 1440p doesnt reduce their price by a noticeable amount.
Note:i was perfectly happy with my hd 7770,i only play stuff like Smite and middle tier games although i always wanted to play Rome 2 or Metro2033 without lag and without lowest settings.
Should i go for a cheap card untill then or what?
Also,i'll have to change my PSU too,its like 5-6 years old.

Atm its some 450W one if i remember correctly that its like 5-6 years old,it never gave me any problems but people recommended that i change due to risks and i will with the purchae of a new GPU.
390 was my choice too,but i dont know if i should get it now or just use wait a few more months and get a better card,CPU,Monitor,etc..
Some guy will give me his old 9500 gt which is fine for Smite and casual stuff until i buy a new GPU.
I mean,on my 1440x900 resolution i can get even a 750ti and it will run just fine and in like a year just buy a new PC+Monitor all together

My eyes are bleeding :D

Only joking and welcome to the forums. Your CPU is rather old and your resolution of 1440x950 is going to be a bit of a drain on any high end GPU and will bottleneck something like a 390/970. Maybe save a few pound and go for a 380 and save some cash for a 1080P/1440P monitor but I will say the sooner you change your mobo/CPU the better :)

The 250 pounds is for the GPU atm,i plan on changing both the CPU and monitor in a few months-1 year and my PSU once i get a new GPU.
I mean,i could buy something like a 750ti which will be just fine on my current rsolution and keep going until something like a year or so and then buy a new PC+Monitor.

for 250£ the 390 i linked is the best choice in my opinion, although you gonna have to get a PSU around 600watt with it.

But is it worth just using my friend 9500 or buying something like 750ti which will wont bottleneck my monitor or cpu and then buy a whole new PC+ monitor in like a year?

performance wise 750Ti isn't much of an upgrade from the 7770, they have practicaly the same performance, and i wouldn't advice anyone today to buy 2go GPU, you at least need 3-4Go.
and it doesnt matter if your cpu will bottleneck if you plan to upgrade it later, you will have the best performance possible from your cpu untill then, still better than getting low gpu to match a low cpu, to end up with mediocre gaming experience, then later need even more money to upgrade them both at once.
there is another solution is to pick 380, 150£, and probably be ok with your current PSU

380 would be fine with your psu and allows you to put some money away later for new monitor......:)

get the 4 gig version.......:)
