Hi there i am quite competent at building custom pcs but apprehensive at attempting a water cooled setup.

I have a fantastic setup in a Fractal case but with changing some bits and bobs and upgrading to the 780ti classified i thought i would have a go at installing a water cooled setup.

Even tho water-cooling has come on leaps and bounds and is allot less complicated i have been sold on the simplicity of the OCUKs pre installed water-cooled cases.

i have the following setup

xfx platinum 1000w
680gtx classified, 780ti on preorder
3930k
ROG Formula Board
500gb SSD
2TB Hard Disk
ASUS STX soundcard

I have a stable 24/7 oc at 4.4 and would like to see if i can get 4.7/8 on water.

My budget is £300 and i like the look of the corsair 540, could the resident experts have a gander at the prebuilt cases on offer , put themselves in my shoes and give me an idea of what they think is the best prebuilt package in their eyes, that would suit the above components and whether 4.7.4.8 is realistic.
I phoned OCUK this afternoon to perhaps add one of these cases to my existing preorder but the sales lad couldnt advise and instead advised me to place a post on this forum where more qualified lads could perhaps add their input.

cheers

Personally I would buy the part separate to save a lot of money.

Only thing I would suggest is, you have a 240mm radiator as an absolute minimum

I agree with you about the case, It does look very good :). If you like that design go for it. But if you want to overclock your GPU I would grab another 120mm+ rad. The more rad space you get the better. (I believe that case can support 3 240's or something like that).

I'm waiting till a little after christmas and I'm gunna put a block on my reference 780ti, so I'm on the same boat as you. I'm running a 360mm and 240mm rad atm. That's quite overkill for a single gpu + cpu but I can have the fans at 7v so they're inaudible.

If you want to save abit of money here's a little mock up of what you could get:
(Get whatever tubing size/fitting you like)

EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 2.2 X-RES (Pump + Res) = £63
XSPC G1/4" to 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD Compression Fitting (Chrome) x8 = £28
EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy = £50
XSPC HighFlex Hose 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD, 19/12.7mm, 2m, Clear = £4.80

All components before radiator(s) = £145.80

example radiator (If your current case can fit it)
Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 240 = £35

Total = £180

Obviously theres a lot of different things you can go for in terms of cpu blocks/fitting/pumps ect. But these will suit you well for cooling a cpu + gpu.
