Advice required - fan controller software causing high DPC latency

Not sure if this is the right place for this but for several months now I've had a slight problem in that periodically my system will freeze for 2-3 seconds when I'm watching a youtube clip, listening to music etc. Sound playback continues in this 2-3 seconds but will then pause when the system unfreezes and video catches up. It doesn't happen often and I can go for 3 - 4 hours without it occurring at all so it's not a massive problem... BUT... I'd rather it didn't happen.

A quick google revealed that it was caused by high DPC latency. So I installed some monitoring software and found that my DPC latency was absurdly high at all times (4000us - can't do the proper little symbol for it!). By process of elimination I identified the NXZT cam software which controls my fan controller and Hue+ lighting. As soon as I disabled the software it dropped to an average of about 20.

I'm assuming that without the controller software loaded, the fans aren't ramping up when they need to and of course I can't control the lighting system I paid quite a lot of money for. On the other hand the freezing problem isn't so serious that it warrants the risk of damaging something because of overheating.

Has anyone else come across this? Is there a way through it that eliminates the freezes but lets me carry on using the fan controller?

Any and all advice gratefully received :)

Thanks man - I've gone through the NZXT cam software support and submitted a ticket. There are a few similar posts about it but these have either gone unanswered or someone has figured out how to fix it themselves (usually by disabling a USB port, updating the network card driver etc. - none of which works for me!).
