Hi guys, my brother has been bought a laptop for christmas which is pretty poor, I'm suggesting that he return it as he could do better with a built PC and I'm here for some advice in building one for him. The laptop cost £350. I have experience of building my own PC before but am by no means an expert!
Performance requirements: general use with occasional games, being able to play games up to and including Medieval 2 total war and Empire would be ideal.
Buying components individually has led to £400+ price tag so I'm thinking of getting this instead:

- CPU: Intel Pentium G620 2.60GHz
- Motherboard:Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3 microATX Motherboard
- Cooler: Intel Approved Cooler
- RAM: 4GB or 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- Hard Drive: 500GB HDD
- Graphics Card: Onboard Intel GMA X4500 Graphics
- Sound: High Definition 7.1 Onboard Sound Card
- Optical Drive: OcUK 24x DVD+RW SATA Dual Layer Rewriter
With these specs and then fitting a 9800 GT to it to boost the graphics capabilities would I be able to play the above games. What are your opinions? Would this PC run Empire with a 9800 GT? Also would a big old card like the 9800 GT fit in this case and Mobo?
Failing that what could I go for?
