I'm ready to upgrade my system.
Here is what I already have
Case (antec plusview1000)
PSU (Tagan 480W-the good ones)
CD/DVD RW
Hard drives
Monitor
Keyboard, mouse speaker...
What I ought to buy is:
CPU: AMD64 3500+---------------------------------------------£145
MOBO: Gigabyte GA K8NF-9 Ultra NF4-Ultra -------------£64
RAM 2*512MB corsair value cas 2.5 (VS1GBKIT400)-----£61
VGA: XFX 6800GS XXX edition or else------------------------------£170
My problem is mainly with the video card. Maybe I should go for the standard 6800gs version @ £140 and save ££££. There is even a Gigabyte model @ £122 at scan.
Or maybe a radeon X800 GTO series. I was really keen on the sapphire ultimate edition (fanless) but the non-support of pixel shader 3 seems not to be a good idea for the future. Although will it really matters?
