Hello there :D

I am looking for a surround sound setup without loads of speakers due to a small room

Was looking at these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-026-SL:)

The next question is i have a DS4 version 1.1. Will the ALC889A HD onboard audio be ok with these headphones or should i also get a creative sound card to get the full use of the headphones :D

Any advice on other headphones/soundcard combo would be a great help, i have about £100-110 to work with with delivery changes ;):D

I have an older set of Medusas. They're actially pretty good, if you can set the bass crossover frequency for your sound device. They're dreadful if you can't. Check if there's an option in your drivers to do so.

The main problem I've had with mine is they pick up interference from Mobile phones and WiFi. This problem can be reduced by reducing the in-line volume controls and turning up the amp to compensate.

Thanks a million for the advice m8s :)

Had another look at the sound cards may as well get the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional 7.1 Sound Card with Free Fatal1ty Headset unless any one can suggest a better combo :D
