Advice with Apple ID's please

Hi wonder if you can help as I am not up on Apple products much.

Have a friend, lets call her 'Mum Zoe' who has the following Apple Products under same Apple ID

Touch (Daughter uses)
Iphone 4 (Mum Zoe uses)
Ipad (Daughter uses)

Daughter (uses Touch and Ipad though.)

Also brand new Iphone 4s in box. Which is going to be given to the daughter.


Mum Zoe wants to keep her iPhone 4 but does not want Ipad/Touch etc to have same Apple ID so she keeps her privacy on iMessage / apps etc.


What is the best way of setting this all up.

I thought..........

Keep present iPhone 4 as it is

Set up a new iTunes account and new user on a windows PC for daughter

Set up NEW Iphone 4s for Daughter with that new Apple ID

Get Ipad and 'Touch' and Change (if possible?) Apple ID to the new one the Daughter has on her new Iphone 4s.

Will games etc be lost that are already on the iPad

Is that it? Or????????????

Any paid for or free apps will be bound to the original AppleID so they would need to be paid for again (if you want a separate copy).

All devices can be signed out of the old AppleID and have a new one set up, you can even leave the old apps on there, it would just require the original AppleID password whenever there's an update etc.

Sharing AppleID across devices that are not all owned by one person is an arse.
