I am with Plusnet on their FTTC package and posted on the weekend about the not so good router they supply.

Due to poor wifi signal I purchased a TP-LINK TL-WDR3600.

I then found online that it had wifi issues and a firmware upgrade would fix it, while searching for a firmware upgrade I then found a website http://www.dd-wrt.com this website advertise custom firmware for various routers.

I decided to tryout the firmware, and while it offers a lot more options I am not finding it that great. Wifi signal is allover the place, signal isn't constant. One minute I've got full signal, next I have lost connection.

I tried reverting back to the stock TP link firmware but can't. There is a guide online to do this but don't understand how to do it.

Anyone offer advise on where to go from here, either tweaking WRT or getting back to the OEM Firmware.

Getting pretty frustrated here. :(

OK update, got back to stock firmware, now I've updated to the latest firmware. Still having disconnections. Grrr, is this router junk?
