I'll be ordering a new case on Thursday to replace my ageing Chieftec Dragon. Ideally, I don't wanna be spending any more than £100. Having had a quick browse around the forums i think i've decided on either the Lian Li PC-7 Plus or the Akasa Eclipse 62. I definitely prefer the looks of the Akasa but is it worth the extra £50? Obviously, the Lian Li is more appealing purely for the price and if i'm honest the less i spend the better but i'm tempted by the Akasa. Is it worth it?

Thanks :)

Eclipse - Oh yes it is, and I don't even own one.

Probably the best air cooling case you can get, and has oodles, and I mean oodles of room for W/C if you want it and dont mind modding.

For your budget, its the best case imho.

Cool, cheers mate. I won't be water cooling and i don't have massive amounts of drives to put in it. Just wanted to know which was better build quality and was easier to work with really.

Arthalen's bang on! :)

Awesome case! Wish i had one - just don't have the cash!!! Always seem to spend it on the stuff going in!

Plus, the fact that you like the looks (many seem to think it's a little bland!) means you'll definately love it!

Having a great system that your happy with starts with a quality case, imho.

I bought the Lian Li PC-G70 case and its revolutionised what I've been able to do with my rig spec and parts wise.

Check out the link in my sig about my new Water cooling loop. This would never of happened in my old Thermaltake Soprano case (LOL!).

I do not think the Eclipse is worth £50 more than the PC7+II, £30 maybe, £50 no.

They both can cool any rig. The Lian Li is built better. The Eclipse can hold larger graphics cards easier and has better hard drive capacity.

They are swings and roundabouts, both are superb cases and you would be happy with either of them but the PC7+II really does offer the superior value for money at the moment.
