Afternoon all, I'm after some advice. I'm going to but a new monitor for my PC-simple enough-but I would also like to use it as a tv. It would be a 50/50 split of time between using it as a tv and as a monitor. I would like the biggest screen possible without comprimising quality. I dont know much about HDTV but obviously it would be better to have this if possible.

At the moment i'm swaying towards getting a tv and using it as a monitor as well but i'm not sure if thats a good idea, smaller resolution and all. But if this is a bad idea how do I go about watchin tv on my computer? Is a simple tv tuner card goin to be good enough?

Budget is around £500, could stretch to £600 if its really worth it. Thanks.

I've had a Nebula Digi TV tuner card for way over a year now, the quality looks really good on my 20" WS monitors so I would say it'd be better to get a decent monitor of your choice and a TV tuner card.

Well I've decided I will be getting a tv as I will probably being using it more for that purpose, i still have a pathetic little 17" I can do all my work/gaming on. But I would still like to play my dvd's through my pc onto my tv, what connections and such would I need (my gfx card has dual dvi output), and is there anything I should look out for in a good tv?
