Hi guys,

I'm speccing up a new computer and I have found that I have some money left over in my budget to upgrade the graphics card. I have decided to go for a Point Of View 8800GTS G92 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card. The motherboard I have chosen for this spec is an ASUS P5KC AiLifestyle Series iP35 Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard. I was just wondering if these 2 components would work with each other? Someone told me that the graphics card might be PCI-E 2.0 and will not work with this board as it has PCI-E x16...just wanna make sure I'm not being given some BS etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The graphics card suports pci 2.0 yet the mobo doesnt (Most mobos dont bar the realy pricey newer ones). You dont need 2.0 at all, hell a GTX only is 1.1 pci.
