Just after some advice regarding an incident at work...

Myself and my supervisor don't get on at all. Mainly because she's continually very rude, nasty and some would even use the phrase 'bully'. She's the type of hard-nut girl that you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of. She's also very rude to customers and other staff, not just me.....although I do get most of it on a daily basis.

Yesterday she was being her usual self, talking down to me, stating the obvious, pulling me up right infront of customers etc etc. At one point I'd just had enough, I spoke to her normally, she was very cheeky in return so I shouted "Oh for **** sake", on our sales floor.

She has now filed a complaint against me for two separate incidents and the 'big scary' area personnel manager is getting involved. When I got interviewed today I just sat silent....didn't put up any fight atall. I thought if no one is prepared to stand up for me(including my managers who witness this behavior on a daily basis) then I won't stand up for myself.

Apologies for the story, but I'd like to know where I stand. Can they sack me for this? Should I hand in my notice tomorrow morning? I really want to badly, but haven't looked for another job yet.

This has been ongoing for months, even our cleaners....yes our cleaners always comment on the way I'm treated by this certain individual.

Thanks!

You mention 2 incidents - what was the other one?
I just made a comment one night, in hope that she'd take it as a joke but she never!

Thanks for the advice all. I'll have a think about it and then possibly take it further. I'm just at the stage now where I hate the job that much that I wouldn't care less if they fired me. That's partly why I can't be bothered with all the fuss.

If I handed my notice in tomorrow, they'd be absolutely stuck without me.
