Hi could i get a bit of advise off someone who knows better than me...

I'm trying to set up 3 or 4 computers together for 3d work. I only want to use one screen and i want to have them all working together, I've seen set ups in places I've worked which are,

a central storage (nas drive thingy) up to about 1 to 2 tb with a the fastest rate for transferring files/ video editing

a switch that connects all the computers with fast sharing between them

a switch that i can flick between the computers on the same screen/keyboard/ mouse set up (ie not via remote desktop but an actual switch thing so i can flick between computers to work on)

could anyone point me in the right direction using stuff stocked at overclockers, budget of about 500 quid (not including the computers)

thanks in advance, I'm fairly hopeless at IT so it any help would be much appreciated and the simpler and more bulletproof the better

i would have thought:

- keyboard mouse switcher

- gigabit switch

would be a good way of connecting them, but i dont know about monitor

OH WAIT!

i just remembered a little HDMI switch ive got that you press a button on it and it alternates between HDMI inputs... hmmm...
