Hi there looking for a cooler for my cpu its a 4770k what offers the best value for money and when i buy the cooler you recomend do i need to buy thermal paste etc.

need to know what motherboard and case you got before any real advice can be given, but some of the following after market cpu coolers are good ones to have.

Best value for money is the K2.

Another suggestion would be a PH-TC14PE, in red.. That would look stunning with your motherboad.

Though really it will look stunning with a h100(i) in the top with some SP120's Red rings.

Actually the H110 is on offer. It will fit.

If you want more RED, you can get some wing boost red clover fans.

I was thinking h100 dont care about how it looks lol. Is there a huge diffrence between h100 and h100i

The h100i has better tubing, better fans and a nicer looking block but performance wise, its only a little better. The pump is the same.

The H110 is a 280mm version (using 140mm fans). This improves on the H100i.

You mean the refurb h100, for £45 its a great cooler. I would get some extra fans though, the stock ones are pretty noisey.

You don't need thermal paste..

One a packet (or pre-applied) will come with the H100(i) or any of my other suggestions.

I got it for a fiver though.

Other people use a cloth, water and elbow grease (not actual grease )

Others say kitchen towel and elbow grease is a good option too..

You just need to be careful, treat it with repect.

Doomspeed how are you cooling youre cpu? You h100 will be good for ocing
