I own a pair of Radeon HD 6850s. Recently one of them seems to have died as it is not outputting anything to the monitor. I've changed over the display to the secondary card for the time being. Every time I enable crossfire the screen goes black.

I'm assuming the card has died but is there any further tests I can do to confirm? What's confusing me slightly is that if I run a GPU tool I can see the temperature / diagnostics etc of the failed card?

Any advice is welcome?

could you try the possibly faulty card on its own first?

Try it in both slots on the motherboard too if you can.

If its on its own the display is just black. I've also tried it in both slots on the mobo and its still an issue.

Guess I have a dud!
