So I have an old Radeon 6850 , I mainly play World Of Warships , feel the 6850 is getting a tad sluggish.

Max £150 for new card, is it worth it?, which one?, would I see significant improvement?
 
when the new cards come out you should be able to pick up a used GTX 780 or radeon r9 290 for around that price as if you're buying new the max you'll be able to get is a GTX 960 which is pretty meh....
 
If you want to buy used, to be safe get the 290/X.
Many are going around for that price used, they support DX12 async compute also, and they are in par with the 390/390X clock for clock.


However WoWs runs on single CPU core atm. What's your CPU?

CPU is i5 2500k
