Hi,

As title says, im looking for a new tv at 42"

After reading through various websites and and the plasma section of the avforum, i decided that the Panasonic TXP42X10B was the best for its value? (if im wrong please tell me).

Before purchasing i decided to visit the local currys store purely to window shop and see how it looks. But unfortunetly the picture didnt look great when sitting next to a few LCDs.

I am sure this is due to the staff setting it up being very poor, but none the less this has given me a concern and i have decide to come back on here and ask for your opinions on whether i had made the right choice on the TXP42X10B or shoud i also be looking at any LCDs??

Also to clarify, the TV will be mostly used for standard definition viewing, however i will be purchasing a blu-ray player, and no doubt in the near future SkyHD.

Apologies for the long read! and i hope i made sense!

Thanks.

+1 for the PX10. Don't go by the way its set up in the shop, they usually use a scart or component feed in those places. (I'm sad enough to check that sort of thing as I used to be a TV salesperson & shop manager) :p
