I'm in need of some advise from the pros, on which way to go, regarding the acrylic tube, and coolant colour, firstly the build. The finished effect I'm going for is very dark, with only a rear LED fan for lighting, in whatever colour is decided.
The case will be a Silverstone PS07 ( Basically a TJ08 but with twin 120' up front ) with a Z97 Gryphon, no GPU yet, or I might throw in one of my 7950's with a black nickel block, a Bitfenix 550w PSU, 2 x 4GB sticks of Teamgroup, black 2666Mhz. And for cooling a 240mm Black Ice crossflow rad, Aquacomuter Aqualis Eco 150ml, with an Alphacool DDC top, one of the new black nickel Alphacool DDC pump, with Monsoon economy black chrome fittings.
What has changed with my plan is that I ordered a B-Grade, EK supremacy Evo ( acetal ) cpu block, but the CSQ, frosted was sent, and they haven't got another acetal one available, so I can either polish it, or spray it black ? ( I'm trying to do this build as cheap as possible I've got everything spare here, except the case pump and fittings, and for £20 it fits the bill )
There lies the problem my idea for the build was all black with black chrome fittings, with either mayhems deep red, or deep purple dye, but I'm thinking now, that If I polish the block the tube would need to be clear, but if I paint it black, the tube would stay black.
So I'm going to throw it out there for some well needed opinions, what would you do ? Oh and HO Ho Ho
As an update after a good think, all of 2 minutes I've settled on Mayhems X1 blood red for the coolant, so all is needed now is, polish or paint the block, clear or black for the tube ???? Cheers guys.
