Im looking to build a new system based on a Phenom II x6. The parts I am looking at are:

CPU: Phenom II x6 1090t £245
MB: Asus Crosshair iv formula £170
RAM: 2x2GB DDR3 1600 either: Corsair Dominator 8-8-8-24 £130 or Corsair Dominator 7-8-7-20 £140

Total: £545 / £555

Is the RAM with tighter timings worth the extra £10?

I have case (Lian Li A77), PSU (Coolermaster 850W Silent Pro), GPU (Asus EAH4890) & SSD from my current build which I will reuse. I also have a plextor slot loading DVD drive which I was going to reuse but it is IDE & the MB doesnt have any IDE connectors so I was going to get an IDE to SATA converter. Has anyone ever used one of these converters before & if so have they had any problems?

I was going to watercool the processor & Graphics with the following:

CPU Block: EK Supreme (Have but need AM3 mounting kit approx £10)
GPU Block: EK-FC4890 CF £65
Pump: either laing DDC 10w with XSPC reservoir top £75 or Laing D5 vario MCP655 £75 & separate reservoir £25 (will either of these be enough for the setup or do I need the 18w pump?)
Rads: 1x120 single rad (have) & 1 x XSPC RX360 triple rad £70 or Thermochill PA120.3 £70
Fans: I will need 4 fans for the rads & was looking at either Noctua NF-P12 Vortex £17 each or 120mm Akasa Apache super silent £13 each (I have 2 of the noctua fans which i will reuse). Will be setting all fans to medium speed to keep noise down a bit.

Was going to use 1/2" tubing & compression fittings (approx £30 for the lot)

How much fluid will I need? Was thinking 3 litres of Feser One should be enough (approx £30).

Total: between £332 & £373 depending on components.

Grand Total: £877 to £928 but will be selling my old comp & some other parts to help pay for it.

This will be my first proper water cooling setup (currently have small loop for cpu & nb on rampage extreme) so would appreciate any advice on the above or recommendations for better components. I am hoping this will be enough to overclock the cpu to 4.3 - 4.5 ghz which will be a nice performance boost from my current E8600 @ 4.5 ghz.

System will mainly be used for gaming, video encoding & 3D modelling.
