Advise on upgrading

Hi, first off I'd like to say I'm a complete novice when it comes to pc upgrades and hardware. So please any advise would be grateful.


So I have just bought my mate pc and would like some advise on how if possible I could upgrade it. The pc will be primarily used for gaming ie mmorpg and fps. I have watch quite a few videos on how to upgrade the hardware so I feel confident I could swap parts. It's just I have no idea what hardware on the machine is good or upgradeable.
Anyway below is the spec


Intel i7 920 Quad core processor 2.66 GHz 8 mbL3 cache
Geforce GTS250 1024mb video card
6GB {3x2GB) DDR3 triple chanel kit
ASUS P6T SE motherboard
1TB SATA II Hard Drive
DVD-RW Drive
Unicorn Titanium case

Ant advise will be appreciated
 
buy a decent cooler for around £50 to overclock that CPU
and either a HD6950 2GB or crossfire HD6870
that should come to around £350

What res do you currently game at?
