Advise please on fluids & biocide

Hi All,

Question around clear fluids and biocide, i have the Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 arriving with the Mayhems biocide extreme.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

1 x Mayhems Ultra Pure H2O 5Ltr= £14.99
1 x Mayhems Biocide Extreme= £4.99

Total: £31.08 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Is this all i need to stop my liquid from forming any algae buildup? Down the line if i was to buy a premixed i assume you don't need to add the Biocide in?

Yes that is all you need to protect against algae but it has zero protection against corrosion. You cannot use the biocide with pre-mix, it states that on the OCUK product page. To be honest I wouldn't have bought either of those and would have gone straight for one of their pre-mixes which has you protected against everything.

Thanks for the reply, is there anything else i can add to prevent corrosion? If not i will just go with Mayhems clear X1 premix.

Also can you top up X1 with the Ultra Pure? and not add in the Biocide

I believe that X1 is actually made with their Ultra Pure H2O so topping it up shouldn't be a problem although it will dilute the additives. I usually buy the 5L tubs of X1 pre-mix direct from Mayhems.
