Any ideas how to keep cats out of your garden?

Layed turf late last summer so my little boy could play in the garden but the local cats are turning it into a toilet.

Before anyone suggests it shooting them is out of the question (although the thought did cross my mind!!! )

Orange peel is meant to help.

you can get them sonar things in some catalogues too. plays a high frequnecy sound that we cant hear but sends them nuts.

On the other hand tho that sounds overly cruel. you should embrace all animals visiting your garden :)

Yep that is true

I heard the best thing of all though is Lion droppings, but not that easy to get hold of unless you live near a zoo or the traveling circus is in town.

Next door neighbour has one of those sonic things and doesn't work.

Have tried putting sprays down, even tried liquidated lemons, works for a few days then they come back.

Mrs Coyote won't let me use explosives near the house

Scarecrow water pack looks good, might give that a try, many thanks :)

Hose tbh, may be a bit cruel but they will soon dry out with no harm done:)

Worked for years, some of you may not like it but tuff poop.

-Super soaker (For Father and child)
-Lawn Sprinkler (Problem if your down london way)
-Stones (big bang on the fence cat runs)
-Thin wire along the edge of the fence like fishing line on hooks (keeps cat out)

Think cats are evil animals, its ok to let a cat run around and pooh everywhere if it was a doggy it would be wrong.

Dislike cats they kill for fun

Orange peel definatly works and also filling a 2litre bottle with water and putting it in your garden works - they are scared of it for some reason!

If you have any empty 1.5l or 2l plastic bottle (clear) fill them with water and place around the edges of the garden..

Edit: beaten too it.. :)
