card EVGA 570GTX only 2 month old appeared to have died . It drops frames to 1-2 fps after 5 minutes into any game /benchmark although temp never reaches more than 60-70 dgr. tried different drivers, even did a fresh re-install windows (win 7 64) nothing worked. In desktop and other non intensive graphic applications works fine though.

I have called oc support team and they have quoted a max 28 days until the card or replacement is sorted but they mention it may be a replacement from another manufacturer. Is it right? I mean I spend more on and EVGA card and i would hate to end up with and OC value card. what do other think? shell I go directly to rma with evga?

They should replace it with an EVGA it's under a year old.... and the item is not EOL... Call them and confirm this with a manager there... If they state same to you again send it to EVGA and well let us know how you get on.. Reason I buy from OCUK is they have some of the good cards so if it went wrong for any reason and they sent me a different brand that is not better then the original I would be kind of upset... Also just to remind you if it's a reference card they are all the same really the only difference is the support, warranty and any extra bits they may give you in the box.. This is the reason I pay more for highend gear the warranty and support.

EVGA are supposed to have top notch support in Europe so it couldn't hurt that being said OC are all above bored, id imagine the only way you would end up with a non identical return is due to lack of stock and they are probably obliged to notify you of the possibility regardless of how likely or unlikely, only %100 way to guarantee a EVGA card back is to go direct to them.

it may be worth sending a web-note to the staff explaining your concerns and im sure they be able to help.

Have you ruled out the PSU? Some older graphics cards used to act that way if the PCI-E power connecter wasn't plugged in. Not suggesting you have done that but it could be a sign there isn't enough power

well I thought of that and checked to see if properly plugged and all. do not think this is the problem. PSU is targa 700+ watts I think and worked fine with my old 280gtx card in same configuration (I was let to believe 280gtx is more power hungry). rest system is evga p55 ***, i5 processor, 2 optic drive, 3 hdd 's (320 gb raptor and 2 samsung 1tb in raid 1)
