Hey.

Looking to build a core i7 system. Thinking about basing it round an i7 860 lynnfield unless I can be convinced otherwise?

Budget is around £400-500 for CPU, mobo and RAM. I have a Radeon 5870 and will use existing case and PSU, etc. I have no intention of O/C, so fast stock speeds are a must

what do you recommend?

No real point in going for an expensive cooler or a higher spec motherboard if you don't intend to use crossfire or do any overclocking. Even if you do decide to overclock later that board will offer reasonable capabilities for it.
