Hi All - Looking for some advice. I'm looking for a card with a bit more power for 1440p gaming. I was considering the new 7800xt - do you think that's a wise upgrade? Or would it be worth spending a little bit more for price/power? Or should I hangfire out and wait a bit longer? Have a budget 650k Can push to 700 if i have to. Thanks.

3060ti to a 7800XT will be a good jump if you don't rely on DLSS and want ray tracing etc. Pretty sure there have been deals for 7800XTs around £500.

Waiting a bit longer means waiting at least a year for the new gens.

I am in the same situation too - an RX7800XT would be around 50% faster in rasterised performance according to TPU.

If that's your budget then sit tight for a £700 7900XT (Sapphire Pulse). The price is up and down like a yo yo so bide your time and you'll get your deal.

If you don't mind only having 2 year warranty on the 7900xt at £749.99 go for it, be warned though some do suffer with loud fans/coil wine/getting rather toasty and ocuk won't treat this as a fault - as many people around Dec had this issue and it was mentioned on here - as I was tempted by one.
If you can stretch a bit more, go for asus/msi/gigabyte, they offer 3 year warranty - I personally prefer paying a bit extra for the piece of mind.
