Just wondering what you guys suggest i do. Currently i'm running Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB and i'm looking into going watercooling route for both CPU+GPU.

As this card i bought is a NON-Reference card(never done watercooling before had no idea needed a Reference card...) I'll need to sell this card(Not sure what i'll get for it, I'll wait till im able to get into MM section of forum) So do you think it's worth adding a few notes and getting a GTX 470 that's a reference card to put on water. If so what card do you suggest?

Or what other suggestions do you have?

Spec as per sig.

Thank you all,

If you're intent on the WC route, you could get the cards which with prefitted blocks, bit more but theyll be under warranty and no need to worry whether its reference or not, e.g.

Op is making a poor choice then, what's the point of watercooling midrange, when the money could be used to put towards a high-end GPU that would give much better performance. I'v watercooled before and the novelty soon wears off.

Op you would be better off waiting for Cayman or something...

Save the money you would have spent on water-cooling and get a better gpu....

I understand where your comming from, It's just the past 3 or so builds i've done i wanted to try out watercooling but funds did not allow me to at the time. Now i'm in a bit better financial position i'm thinking of taking the plunge and trying it out for the first time.

I did have a look at these, Taking into account the cost of the cheaper GTX470+470 GTX Full Cover Water Block+470 GTX Backplate It would seem to be around £50 more exspenive but it does come with 10 year warrenty... So it could be a good idea.

Thanks for your replys guys,

Any other suggestions most welcomed.

Do not sell it. It is not worth the trouble, instead check this out, EK Waterblocks just released a VGA Supreme High Flow Universal GPU waterblock. Also there is a mounting plate for reference and non reference GTX 460 cards. Good luck.

Hmm intresting, Do you have a link you could share? (If competitor link, send in trust as OCUK Rules)

Also this needs ramsinks etc right as it isnt a full cover block? If it's the one im thinking of i may have already came across this, and i thought instead of having all the trouble using a universal block with the extra heatsinks for the chips the block doesnt cover thought it would be best to sell the 460? and just get a card that's supported for a fullcover waterblock?

Also just saw this:

New full cover block for non reference Geforce 460GTX cards - 14/10/2010

We are developing new full cover block for Palit and Gainward GeForce 460GTX series.

Blocks will be available in November.

Shame it doesnt include the Gigabyte :(

VGA Supreme High Flow version might be a great product likewise the CPU Supreme High Flow version. Yes would only have to find some good ramsinks. The good thing about Universal blocks is that it can be used many times, past or newer generations. I use the Koolance GPU-220 Universal GPU waterblock.

Hmm could be a plan,

Thanks all so far for your suggestions, Anymore suggestions keep em coming.
