I have a Samsung S8 and my wife has a S10. We recently moved to Tesco mobile and I have tried to extend the ringing time on both phone using the code **61*901*11*30# On both phones I get the same error message

"Call forwarding when no reply for All Speech Services Connection problem or invalid MMI code"

I have tried various different codes and get the same message. Tesco have now told me that a recent update from Samsung, to all Samsung phones, prevents you from extending the ringing time unless you disable your voice mail. I find this very hard to believe so can anyone confirm this? Does anyone else have a Samsung connected to Tesco/O2 and have managed to extend the ringing time without disabling their voice mail?

Any help would be appreciated.

Just tried it on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (Three Mobile so a slightly different code to get to the setting) with the same result, I can no longer extend the ring time.

However if I go into phone settings I have the option to disable 'Forward when unanswered' with the relevant voicemail number. I don't know if disabling that will enable changing the ring time then going back to that setting will allow you to enable it again and enter the correct number. Logic says yes, having to contact Three and waste a lot of time getting them to change it back says wait until I need to do it.

I changed all my Samsung phones including a Note 8 and Note 9 when I found out how to do this a while ago as the default 15 seconds often wasn't enough time for me to get to my phone.

Got a S21 and the code worked for me, i am on O2 though.

Try **61*905*11*30# for Tesco Mobile.

Did you check what number is now registered in your phone for 'forward when unanswered' and whether it works?

I now have a different story from a different Tesco assistant in their mobile shop. This one tells me that it is an O2 problem that is currently being fixed and that by 17th July everyone on O2/Tesco will automatically have 30 seconds ring time. He says they are doing 100,000 numbers per day so it could be sooner? Who do I believe??
