In one of my machines I've got a Curry's own-brand modular PSU, and having just thrown a 4070Ti in there my nice coordinated braided cables are now blighted by the fugly 2x8-to-16pin adapter. Because I was unsure of what the pinouts on the PSU are my braided cables are currently just female to male extensions but it's always been a bit of a cable management nightmare - I pretty much have twice as much cable to hide - so rather than buying another female to male extension I thought I'd try and find a set of actually compatible cables. Based on the keying of the sockets on the PSU a set of Corsair/Great Wall/Thermaltake cables will fit, and from what I can tell the PSU is actually manufactured by CWT who are the ODM for Thermaltake so I feel reasonably confident that they'll work, but I'd be grateful for feedback from anyone who has any actual experience of doing this before I buy a set of cables and start a small but expensive fire!

From what I'm aware of, the same OEM does not guarantee that the pinout will be the same, since they can ask them to change anything they want (e.g. to be consistent with previous PSUs in their range). If you're really confident, I guess you could try it, but the risk of frying an £800 card would make me forgive how fugly the adapter is.

You could try asking the OEM themselves, they may (or may not) be willing to give you that information.
