AEG Washing Machine broke... help

Hey all

My washer has been refusing to lock for a while, After a few door closes it finally shows up the littler lock image and carry's on washing away the dirt.

But yesterday it finally refused to lock no matter how many times i closed the door and re closed it....

I have had a look on the Tinterweb and i can buy a new Door latch part for around £15.

Should i simply replace this part or does anyone think it could be the actual main-board that's at fault??

I am phone repair guy not a washer repair guy so im not sure what can go wrong, Im fine with replacing parts but due to no actual experience i don't want to have to order a bunch of parts i don't actually need.

The reason im asking for advice is because the washer is in an awkward place, and to remove it would mean blocking up the entire hallway for a few hours and then spend an hour trying to put it back.
Thus would like to order the correct part, bang it in and bobs your uncle.. no more messing.

I would have just called an AEG Engineer out, but due to uni and work i don't have the time to wait about.

it sounds like the door intelock is dodge, its a easy fix remove the wire thingy from the rubber bit inside the door peel back rubber seal unscrew lock then swap the part. for the sake of £15, if thats not the fix then engineers your bets bet.
