Hey guys,

I purchased these a few months ago and they have been brilliant speakers!

However, this evening I went to put my headphones in the headphone jack on the front of the speakers (First time I used the headphone jack on the speakers :p) and no sound was coming from the headphones. All it done was reduced the volume of what it was coming out of the speakers. (I.e. you could still hear the music and the bass but it was quieter)

Any idea why this could be?

Thanks,
Marky

EDIT: After a bit of research I have found out that I have failed miserably :p It seems the jack is actually for Line-In =\
Is there an easy way to cancel out the sound coming from the speakers and have it through headphones or will I need to disconnect the speakers everytime?

I use a plantonics headphone switch I purchased from someone on the MM. If you Google 'plantronics headphone switch', you should find it quite easily. I don't know how I lived without it.

I take it from the Vantage score that you have in your sig that you are using Vista?

If so and if you have a Realtek sound device there is an option that should sort you out - "Mute the rear output device, when a front headphone plugged in"

I take it you are plugging the headphones into the front panel audio? If no then yes you will have to disconnect the speakers everytime.
