I just phoned 5 different aerial installers and each one has given me different advice and some have gone far as suggesting that some installers are giving me some BS!

Here's the scenario . . We have a pre-existing aerial which is hooked up to our 1st TV [CRT] in the first living room.

We've now got a new HD LCD TV (Tosh 37WLt66) and wanting to get a secondary connection for this TV in our second living room.

Here's a summary of how the convo's went:

#1 - We should get a second aerial because . . [something . . yada yada]

#2 - A splitter will be fine, #1 is BS'in you and knows nothing. No loss of signal

#3 - You need a digital aerial and then a splitter. A booster on analogue will possibly make your signal worse.

#4 - We do all of south yorkshire, we know what we're on about, booster is fine

#5 - I recommend that you get a better aeriel to ensure that you don't lose any signal.

Now me, I'm pretty much confused as the prices are ranging from £40 - £150 as quotes from each one.

Now wanting to avoid getting a second and digital aerial due there not being much of a need and pushing the budget. What do you guys recommend? Is there for replacement aerial whilst we are recieving good signals via our current aerial?

Thanks :)
