Sorry if this is meant to be in the cooling thread, but I think its ok here.

This goes out really to anyone that owns this piece of equipment, or have done. Basically I bought one, as they do look the part, installed it, dandy, although I did leave the temp sensors out as I didnt want more over crowding from wires. The problem is, it doesnt actually seem to do anything. It powers the fans I have plugged into it just fine, but when I attempt to manually turn the fan speeds down, well, nothing happens according to the fan speeds on the front. Do you think its because I dont have the temp sensors in?

Im starting to wonder if there is any need for me to have this in? Are there any other programs that I can control all the fan speeds from my pc, and get all the temps, rather than using this thing? I know of speedfan or something, I tried downloading it, but didnt seem to want to work, if this is the one yall recommend, than could anyone throw a link my way

Thanks guys

Jay

I have one of these, work fine. The display on the front might not be changing but if you look at the fans can you see them slowing down??

Its possible that the fans that you have connected don't have the third pin (which is the sensor) and as such can't sent the information to the controller

Make sure you use "Manual" control ( Press the " Mode " button to toggle between Auto/Manual ).

Your fans must have a 3 wire connection to be controllable ( The third wire , i.e not the red or black wires , is the sensor wire. ) .

Then simply select which fan , press "Set" 3 times and adjust you fan speed using the + and - buttons.

( As for the temp probes , I connected them and bundled them all up behind the console. I use MBM to watch temps )

EDIT : Just realised mine is the Aerocool "Gatewatch" so this might not be relevant. Apart from the 3 pin fan info.

Cheers,

Mark

Im not at my pc, but I think the fans do only have 2 wires!! what a shame, this could very well be the problem then!

the fans I have come with the case, I would have got round to changing them when I attempted to quieten down my case, so will this be the only way to sort the problem out? To change the fans and put in those that have the three wires?

I was using the manual operation btw! :) lol
