Hi Guys,

Have a friend who is upgrading his case (mATX) and is looking at getting one of the following:

AeroCool Syclone II
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-040-AE&tool=3

AeroCool Strike-X Advanced (but in White)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-013-AE&groupid=2362&catid=2226&subcat=

Now don't shoot the messenger because I know they are totally tasteless (in my opinion), I personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. However, if its what he wants then fair enough.

I can't find much on the web about them regarding reliable reviews, wondered if anybody have any experience with these AeroCool cases? I've only ever built in Corsair or BitFenix cases as of late so i'm a bit in the dark.

If these are totally crud then if anybody could spec something of the same price range and has "many flashy lights" etc... i'd be really greatful!

Phew..hard project!

I just bought the Aerocool X Predator. Its coming today, should be there when i get home.

I personally think the X Predator looks great. I chose it because i wanted a full tower but then it is a fair bit more.

I must say the cases you added look cheap in my opinion. I think this aerocool one is nice Sixth.

It never really fit my bill but your friend might like it. It is a full tower though, he may not have the space.

Or an x1 Perhaps Black/White

Is he decided on aerocool then?

Edit: If he wants lights and things, just get some cold cathode tubes and LED fans, Brightens up any case.

Yeah, He's like 15 so he's very much into flashy cases. Many fans, Many lights... im sure you get the idea.

That is quite a nice case... I don't think he's really bothered on the branding really. just needs to look "good"... sorry for being so vague, I just resent these type of cases. Although that white Sixth one you linked is quite nice. As are the X1's! ... I like a more Standard look ;)

I wouldn't get either of those cases, they're fairly basic chassis' with a load of plastic bits stuck on. Something like the Corsair 300R would be better.

Saying that the X1 HecFam mentioned looks pretty good for 50 quid.

Edit: Scrap that, has pretty awful cooling and seems pretty flimsy (<5kg for a steel case is pretty light).

Thats pretty much why I dislike them!

Yes, the X1's do look quite nice.. Really like the white one actually. Might recommend him that one.

Any others that anybody has experience with or could recommend?

Bitfenix Raider, I reviewed it a while back (still using it now in fact) and it's a pretty nice case.

Fractal Arc Midi.

HAF Series (Again I hate the styling but much nicer build than the Aerocools).

Enermax Ostrog, only £32 and is pretty well featured.

Lian Li PC-K63B, Windowed with 4x140mm fans (2 are blue LED and 1x120mm non LED) included but much nicer build and a bit easier on the eyes than the aerocools. Still a bit ugly though. http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.p...sk=view&id=682&Itemid=61&limit=1&limitstart=5

have recommended the Lian Li. Quite a nice case out of the ones he's picked to show me anyway... *shudder*

If I could choose I'd have the raider :) so nice!

Thanks for your help btw, much appreciated... i'd be in deep water otherwise lol..
