Aerocool Mirage 12 Pro advice

I got the Aerocool Mirage 12 Pro recently, connected it all up today.

I connected:

3 supplied fans connected directly to the hub with 6 pin ARGB connectors
The AIO cooler fans to the hub via a male connector from a fan
Female ARGB connector from hub to motherboard
SATA connector to hub

I left the male ARGB connector from the hub unconnected as couldnt see in the the guide where to plug that and didnt have any where to plug it

I've updated the Asus Armoury crate and nothing is working.
The fans are just cycling through different colours and effects

I get the impression the hub has recognised all the fans because the 3 case fans and 2 AIO fans are all doing the same - it seems to be missing the motherboard control bit..

Have I missed something?

I can also control the 5 fans connected via the remote control but obviuosly it doesnt give me as much control
So it seems to be something my PC is picking up on or not doing to control the RGB

Dont worry - sorted (I think and hope)
The remote had a MOBO button, pushed that and it seems to have transferred control to the PC software
