i just bought an aerosol can off the bay which is designed to clean dust from pc components. but worried its going to mess things up. if i hold the can still whilst spraying, only air (non liquid gas) comes out, but whilst spraying if i move the can, turn the can upside down or shake it, it throws out a liquid gas which avaporates within a thew seconds and leaves a small white substance. Im worried if the liquid stuff comes out whilst spraying the dust off my mobo ect, it will mess the components up. what you think?

on the item description on 4bay, it says it can clean mobo's ect. but on the can it only says, "dust between keys on keyboard, cdroms, printers, ect.

i use dust cleaner , don`t hold to close to motherboard you might blow something off like i did one , if you hold can upside down it comes out like ice and turn your pc off when spraying , my mate got his spray nozzel caught in cpu fan not good ..............lol

As long as you don't shake the can you will be OK.

I've used a can all all of the pc components, it's best use has to be cleaning fan blades and heatsinks.

If you use a duster, be careful you don't get too much static electricity on the duster.

lol i tryed cleaning my pc when it was on with that air duster stuff in a can, and it came out as ice cause i was bending over to get into tricky place and it went into the psu, and supprise supprise, boooom was the end of that psu :P

liquid comes out because the gas is under so much pressure and it evaporates quickly because when you squirt it there a massive pressure drop from the can to the air.

as long as you use it when the machine is off you wont have a problem.
