On Monday the Affinity Forum shuts up shop. I used to go there every so often but found it full of questions about Publisher and Designer and as such found it hard to navigate. Anyway it was a source of information about AP so will be missed.

They have moved to Discord following the teaser announcement that something is coming on the 30th of October. You can no longer purchase their products via the website although I understand the iOS versions are currently free on the App Store. Lots of negative speculation regarding what is about to happen, the fear being a move to a subscription model.
I took advantage of the free iPadOS version. It seems decent enough. I also have the desktop version of AP 1 which served me well for a few years until I moved to Adobe.
Now that I’m moving away from Adobe again the iPad version of AP 2 might actually come in quite useful.

It was kind of them to do the free iPad version, I dont know how the Affinity users in my club will feel about the news. Looks like if you want new toys you will have to run plugins but I am not too sure who does them now apart from DxO and On1.
