Evening all

I am an Affinity Photo user and just got an email as they have a 25% off sale if anyone is interested:

I have no connection to the company, just a happy customer.

All the best

Darren

I’ve been running all three apps since version 1.6 as I am self employed and use them for work. They can be frustrating in terms of bugs/niggles and I tend to forget things in Paint but that’s as much to do with me getting old than the software. I also have an aversion to subscriptions…

Yep, definitely a worthwhile investment. I am actually still using Version 1 as 2.0 offered little (in fact nothing) of use to me but that's just my own use case. But as an alternative to Photoshop it is superb and offers pretty much 95% of the functionality for a fraction of the cost.

Yes, were it just me I probably would have not purchased 2.0 but my son is into graphic design and having just bought him 1.0 of the Designer program it made more sense to get a refund on that and grab the full 2.0 bundle. I don't use it a lot but it comes in very handy when I need more than what Capture One Express can provide and the one off cost is great compared to the subscription model that Adobe now use.

Nice. I use Affinity Photo’s focus stacking feature all the time. Not sure if it’s as good as Photoshop’s equivalent but the lack of a subscription is very welcome.

Even when I was using Adobe I would estimate that 90-95% of my work was in Lightroom and 5-10% in Photoshop. So far I've not found myself needing or wanting Adobe and I switched years ago.

I think a lot of people could save themselves an awful lot of money switching away from Adobe.

Of course there will always be someone who needs some specific feature only available in Adobe.

Hhhmmm was going to go with the Adobe offer but now wavering because of this. I'm trying to limit the number of subscriptions I have.
