most of the guys get a ban from fighting after a fight due to the amount of punishment taken, average ranges from 3-9 months

That was a pretty interesting vid psycho, all those knockouts! Were they short fights or?

I've never watched mma before because I thought it would be like wrestling, fake etc but I have to say from what I've seen it does look better. The fights with hugging on the floor are a bit boring though.

I'm a big MMA fan and I completely agree with, good active battles on the ground are a lot of fun to watch, but the 'hold your opponent down to win' style of some fights are very boring. Watch Koscheck vs Daly for a boring ground fight and Diaz vs Sanchez for interesting ground fighting, very very different style of ground fighting exhibited in both. Another video to watch where there is a good example of holding someone down, but using it effectively to punch and elbow is Jones vs Rua - which is availible free to watch on the UFC website currently.
