Hi guys I am looking for a cheap, portable boom mic. I'm not aiming for a professional ones, but something more for students' filming. Price range £30 to £40. However since this is the first time I've ever touched upon this area, I'm a bit worried. Which technical aspects or figures should I pay attention to when choosing a boom mic? Any tips? Thanks :)

This may look cheap as chips - http://goo.gl/9mgE66 - and you'd be right!

But, it's surprisingly usable. However, if you're looking for something a little better, this is a good bet - http://goo.gl/p7tcaj

That one is a good bit smaller, but should be much better. Also, you'll find people on youtube demo-ing both of these units. The former might fall under the name of HT-81. Hope this helps :)

Rather then start a new thread, I'm after a half decent mic too, around £100.

I bought a Yeti Blue USB, but realise I'd like one I can plug into my Canon 600D.

The second link says it's out of stock, no price. How much was it?

**EDIT** It's this right?

I'm happy to spend more, any suggestions? Thanks.
