I know that 'danger tourism' is a thing for the adventurous, but this just seems a bit mental to me...So, would you? A nice trip to Afghan, or maybe some sightseeing in NK?

It’s a stupid idea, the potential stress and worry you cause to loved ones and/or the effort and risk to those who would be involved should something untoward happen makes it a very selfish endeavour, to me anyway.

People are crazy… I’m my friend used to work at a travel agency and people was phoning up on 9/11 asking for cheap flights to America…

Personally I would have got them on the planes and let the American arm forces take the plane down, Darwinism wins…

Lol, wanting to tour in Afghan. Darwinism at it's best.

Kabul is beautiful because that's where the money is. There are some other nice cities, but most of the rest of the place is a barren third world environment with people still living in tin huts and caves.

Corrupt, where people can be police week and Taliban the next.

Seems like a darwin award to holiday in a country your own country has bombed in recent decades, especially one where you can probably disappear and no one cares.

Don't think I would ever want to go India, Pakistan etc either they look proper grim on tourism vlogs

Yep **** hole countries offer nothing to me. It's a shame Egypt has so much interesting antiquity.
Never understood the attraction of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam.
Is it the power trip of being a white westerner?

Very superior European white male here.

If it wasn't for the very, very obvious issues and if instead it was a very permissive place, then some of the scenery there is absolutely amazing. Sadly however the reality is that I wouldn't step foot back there even if I was being paid and had a thousand bodyguards!

Afghan how would you get there now that Taliban are back in control? I’m guessing a flight to some Middle East country and then flight/car from there.

It was dangerous before the Taliban retook control, have to be a nutcase to go now.
