Afrika for PS3

Doesn't look like they've modelled those Zebra's testicles very well.

Hmmm.... should I have noticed that?! :o

I don't know if the original poster meant that it looks technically amazing. I think it looks great because these aren't scenes you'd often see rendered in a video game. Also, there seems to be a great sense of scale.

IMO this is one of those games which comes along every now and then which makes you think what's the point?

I have just thought though that maybe this game was designed for the quirky and somewhat bizzare Japanese market which made virtual fishing such a success :|

If you look at the trailers on there, they have done the movement of the animals very well. Although im still not entirely sure what the games suposed to be about. Is it just a Safari type game where you can watch animals or is there more to it, anyone know?

Only way I'd buy that game if they made it into a Carmageddon style desert rally :D :D :o :p

Maybe they are releasing a lightgun for it and you play the part of an ivory poacher trying to hunt elephants and avoid the rangers etc :p

It's a safari game.

Literally the idea is that for those who cant go to africa can see a safari.

Not being funny but if you can shell out £425 for a console surely if you really want you can go to africa

Looks ok but the mountains in the background remind me of N64 era Zelda as they are quite flat and blurry
I downloaded the vid for it via playstation store and I must admit that watching it on youtube compaired to seeing it at 1080 is a completely different experience. Youtube does it no justice at all as it does look very very nice graphically.

I saw a trailor on Gamer.tv today.

No in-game footage, just the same sort of thing as those screen shots, the Hippo did a yawn that looked very realistic..

Might be interesting, might be total carp..

Or how about some cooperative 'rhino tipping'?

Could be the killer-title the console needs :)

It's about £800 to africa at the mo and thats for the cheap seats... add onto that hotel, food travel etc and you would be looking at the best part of £1500+ for a decent trip!
