I'm back baby!
Hopefully there's people in the know (pure filth, I'm looking at you :p) that know all the tariffs and tell me which suits me best :D I've picked out a couple that seem to be OK.

Current deal:

Orange
Talk Time 200 with 500 texts
Due to expire 20th May, upgrade available now

What I want:

Double the amount of texts I have
Willing to half the amount of minutes I have
Looking for a W810i but would settle for an 800 if necessary
Don't mind switching providers but obviously if there's very similar offers I might as well stay put

Ones that seem to suit:

T-Mobile Flext 35
£26.25 a month
up to 900 x-net mins or 1800 texts

Orange (can't remember the plan)
£25 a month
100x-net mins and 750 texts

Anyone know of anything better? Both of the above offer the W800i but not the 810 as far as I can see.

Ta

Check out T-mobiles Flext35 contracts on the T-Mobile website. Would cost £35 a month but is down to £26 until the end of April. 18 month contract though.

W810i has just come out. Saw it on the orange website the other day. Sure other networks will follow shortly.

;)

Only problem is there's no W810i

Went into a t-mobile store today and asked about the w810. A kind gentleman said he could do 30% off a flext contract through cashbackand the phone should be coming in a couple of weeks.

T-Mobile would be your best bet right now, the other networks are struggling to get anywhere near as good a deal.
But like you said, no w810 out yet.

I know it's coming because it's showing up on our systems as available on T-Mobile just with no price plans set up yet.
2 options for finding out there:
1) I know IainB on here works for T-Mobile so he might know :D
2) I'm in work tomorrow so I'll ask round there as the others tend to be more up on these things because they've got more time in work to read the industry papers :p

Wish they'd hurry up with it, the amount of people I've served in the past week who have said 'No I think I'll wait for the w810' :o

I'm on T-Mobile myself so can definitely recommend them.

Just reading another forum and a few people seem to have got them on T-Mobile already
They said to try phoning about it and mention that they'd read about it online. Only been out a couple of days if so though and I'm not entirely sure whether to believe the thread.

Worth a try though :)

Just spoken to Orange and they have offered me a decent deal and they launched the W810i yesterday

Still thinking about it, but might go for that.

Silly animal name? :/

Looking at it, they've not offered me that great a deal. I thought they were offering me additional 500 texts but they've not. Thats the 500 I already have. Just called them and they say thats the biggest bundle they do. I need more texts :(

I've got Talktime 200 with Preset 500 text, which I get free.

Yeah they've renamed their price plans this month, so there's canary, raccoon, panther and dolphin. I can't remember which is which because we're selling so few Orange subs at the moment anyway :o
I just like the idea of telling people they're soandso animal :D

Go for T-Mobile ;) I'll check for you tomorrow, or IainB might see this thread beforehand. Or do what I said above and try calling them and make sure you said you heard they were available.

Just rang up and said my mate has ordered one and it is due for arrival monday, they said he couldn't have ordered through them, only online. I can't find them online :/

Whats good about T-Mobile? I am actually fairly happy with Orange even though they ****ed me about a lot at first.

Weird :/

The good thing about them is they're cheaper. That's about it really. Although in my experience their customer service hasn't been bad.
It's just a matter of what they're offering per month. For example: O2 200 is £30 for 200mins/100 texts, while Flext30 is £30 for £90's worth of credit which works out as 450mins or 900 texts.
The Flext35 being your best bet with £35 for £180 credit, up to 900mins or up to 1800 texts.

Plus T Mobile are offering 25% off their tariffs at the moment too, so even cheaper.

If you're happy with Orange then stick with them, it just won't work out as cheap for you as what T Mobile offer.

Don't know about that :p

Orange just rang me back and offered:

180 x-net minutes (the most I've used on my last 3 bills is 80 mins)
1000 texts (they told me before that they couldn't go above 500 texts)
Free W810i on a 12 month contract

For the grand total of £19.10 per month inc. vat

I am a happy bunny

This is the third time Orange have excelled.

First time they did me a great introductory offer, even if the guys sorting it out after that screwed it up.

Last year they rang me 2 months early and said they wanted to drop my line rental by £5, give me an extra 50 x-net mins and 500 free texts.

This year I was a little dubious about staying with them with the nice looking T-Mobile offers on atm. They've excelled themselves once again though, offering me whats above.

Can't see them beating it again next year.

You've not slept with someone at Orange or anything have you? :p

I've been with them twice and they never ask for me to stay or give me anything :(

I spent 10 minutes talking to the Geordie lass about nights out in Wakefield, Leeds and Newcastle. Think she might've pulled a few strings :p
