Anyone have any suggestions for a action style RPG like fable 2?

Really enjoyed it and after some more. For the 360

Thanks.

hmm have you tried fable 2?

nahhhh kidding ive herd Eternal Sonata is good but its an JRPG and im not a fan of there slower pace. Apparently got a good battle system in this.

There's nothing quite like Fable but Oblivion, Sacred 2 and at a stretch Two Worlds (hey, I liked it!) if you fancy a bit of traditional fantasy.
If you just want a good story based rpg there's Mass Effect or Fallout 3 and if you're into trying a jrpg I'd recommend Blue Dragon / Lost Odyssey (though both have turn based combat) or for action combat Infinite Undiscovery with Star Ocean 4 just out and Tales of Vesperia out in a few weeks.

Thanks for the replies.

Sadly i've already played Mass Effect to death on the PC, along with Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

The last JRPG i seriously played was FF7, but if there are a few really good ones, i might give them a punt.

Hmmmm seems RPG are becoming thin on the ground....

I'd recommend:

The Witcher (PC)
Fallout 3 (PC, PS3, 360)
Gothic 1-3 (PC)
Enchanted Arms (PS3, 360)
Lost Odyssey (360)

Can't think of anything you haven't played. Just play Baldur's Gate II again, at least 60-70 hours of main story line, and 300+ if you want to get really into it.

...and guys, he said Action RPG not homoerotic chess, stop recommending JRPGs! (Although Chrono-Trigger was awesome and FFV wasn't too bad.)

JRPGs on the 360...

Lost Odyssey > Blue Dragon >>> The Last Remnant >> Infinite Undiscovery >>>> Eternal Sonata > Enchanted Arms >>> Phantasy Star Universe.... imo.

I've still got Star Ocean 4 sat in shrinkwrap as I've not been off Sacred 2 and they had the same release day, but I'd imagine it would sit between TLR and IU. Also Tales of Vesperia when it comes out will from all I've read hit a top 3 spot in my list.

Star Ocean IV - excellent combat its like the anti-twin of Valkyria Chronicles kinda!! VC is tactical slow paced combat whereas SO is frantic more action rpg combat with lovely looking special effects n combos.

Baldurs Gate ? Icewind Dale? Not quite first person but u get the whole good/evil thing and your own character etc. :)
