Needing a spec please for a mobo/processor/ram/gfx card, as close to £300 as possible. I think my case/psu/harddrives will be fine for now
It's going to be for gaming, mainly games already out but it'd be nice if i'd be able to play Quake Wars and not have it as a slideshow.
Been playing games with my amd 64 3200 and x550 and i haven't had good fps in a long time.
This will be a gap filler, im planning on buying a decent full system sometime after the dx10 games are released, but i want to make sure the newer nvidia graphics cards are out first.
Oh, and i've never overclocked, but i'd love to give it a go, as the C2D processors seem to go up quite high. I could go over £300 if i were including a different HSF, but i'd like the price of the other parts to stay at £300 or under.
A question about the HSF though, I would probably be likely to use a Noctua NH-U12F when i get the better pc later on, would it be a good idea to just get it now and use it again later on in the new pc, or just stick with a cheaper option now? And if i were to get the Noctua, is there any thermal paste provided and is it any good, or should i get some other paste?
