Hi All, due to my cooling/motherboard setup I can't use the 2 PCI-E slots on my motherboard but I want to add a 2-4port USB 3.0 card for my external hard drives to plug into.

Is there such a thing as a PCI USB 3.0 card or am I limited to external hubs only?

Many Thanks...........................Ian

I thought as much, ah well it looks like either an external hub or a new cooling rig then :(

Can you not use a PCI-E Express 16X Riser Card Extender Flexible Ribbon Extension Cable, maybe Flexible PCI-E 1x to 16x Riser Card, or PCI Express PCI-E 8X to 16X Slot Riser Card Flex Flexible Extension Cable, various types available.

Has got me out of trouble, by allow me to mount usb3 card in different position.

They cost about £4 to buy, not sure if OcUK stock them.

Both my PCI-E slots only have 3-5mm of space above them which I don't think will be enough to fit an expansion cable in.
